i just lost some of my mucus plug :( this didnt happen til i was about 7-1/2 months with my 1st son. i'm only in the middle of my 5th month - 20w now. it wasnt bloody or anything - not tinged with any color. but still. is it normal to start losing it at 20 weeks? everything online has people talking about it at 30-35 weeks for the 1st time. i DONT ( Read more... )

I had my doctors appointment on Tuesday and she checked and while I was only 1 cm dilated she tried to sweep my membranes. After that I had some cramping and a bit of blood, but nothing much else.. 2 weeks ago, i went to L&D with contractions, 8-10 minutes apart, they hooked me up to IVs and they pretty much went away on their own.
To sum it up to this point my OB told me to continue on with life as we know it.

Bloody show versus normal spotting from a cervical exam at almost 39 weeks - discuss?

 I'm 34w4d with baby #2.

I am wondering about two things,... I think I'm losing bits of my mucus plug. More often than not, when I go to the bathroom and wipe, I find big globs of what looks like snot only its light brown/amber colored. Is it likely this is my mucus plug? I never lost mine with baby #1 so I'm not certain what I'm looking at.
